The Think it, Sketch it, Show it! tool is a 6-step toolkit on co-designing with young people. It demystifies tools and processes commonly used by designers. The co-design process takes young people through the creation of ideas from conception to final designs.
Purpose - Why should we use this tool?
You should use this tool to involve young people in your design process, enabling their creativity and giving them a voice.
Involving young people in a design workshop is a strategic approach to building valuable insights and design principles that can contribute to the creation of future-proof solutions. Within co-design processes, young people have a space to express their needs, explore their ideas, and have them translated into engaging design projects and visuals.
Duration - How much time is needed?
The recommended time is 2-5 days for the on-site workshops, and an additional 3-10 days for visual production.
Participants - Who should we invite?
Young people (designed for and tested with 12-17-year-old students but can be applied to a wider age range). Teachers and a design team.
