Northern NEB lights – art and aesthetics in urban transformation

Working actively with aesthetics is one of the key explorations in the New European Bauhaus movement. But what do we mean by aesthetics? And which role can aesthetics play in sustainable and inclusive urban transformation? How can aesthetics become an active tool and why is this crucial?

Three speakers will unfold their perception of aesthetics and how they work with art and aesthetics. They represent organisations involved in three New European Bauhaus related projects: Desire and NEB-Star, two lighthouse demonstrator projects, and Palimpsest, a heritage landscape project.
